Goblin Mask Painted
So here is the goblin mask with a fresh new paint job. I was really aiming to achieve that nasty mottling of the skin reminiscent of the orc and goblin characters in LOTR. To finish it off i wanted to add some cool "tribal" warpaint. I've always thought those types of markings were so visually striking. The paints i used were Monster Makers latex paints, in which i enjoyed using very much, so easy to work with. Hope you like!

Goblin Mask- 2013 Kings Island Halloween Haunt
Hello everybody, it's been a little while. This is my latest creation coming from Kings Island Halloween Haunt, as a part of their makeup crew this season. Prior to the season i was asked if i might be interested in sculpting a mask this year and of course i was in. Usually i tend to sculpt small, so i thought it'd be a good opportunity to add something a little larger to my portfolio. I was pretty much given free range as to what the mask could be. I don't know if its a good thing or not, but of course i reverted to sculpting an orc/goblin mask because i just love those characters, thanks to LOTR no doubt. Kings Island was of course expecting a quickish turn around, so this sculpt is roughly 20 hrs of work. I so wanted to push it further, but simply wasn't able to. This was the final result, hope you'll enjoy :)

Terror in the Night
Ok, so here's my latest creation. Of course this guy was started months ago, and he's just now getting finished. *face palm* Anyway, i kind of was inspired to sculpt one of the undead through one of my friend's infatuation with them. Zombies this, zombies that. Honestly, I was a little burnt out on the whole zombie craze there for a while. However, with an introduction to The Walking Dead, they were kind of redefined in my book. The makeups totally grabbed me as being totally tangible and real, i thought to my myself "this is how it'd be if something like this were to really happen". The zombies depicted in the show are every kind of terrifying and grotesque, and i love it. So enough yammering on by me, here's a little rendition of my own.

Djinn Finished!
OK, so this guy has taken a while to finish, months unfortunately with life and everything else in between. The Djinn was a bit of a challenge in terms of all the little fine intricacies in the helmet, but that's what i really enjoy doing, the tedious little things that people think your crazy for doing. He's about 4.25'' tall, Chavant NSP Soft, which is great by the way, so much more workable than the medium. Hope you all enjoy!

Something new in the works!
Here is a new maquette sculpt in progress. I really didn't have a predetermined idea for this guy, I just sat down one night and went to town. Sure enough, he's turned into a muscle bound brute with gigantic ram like features and a helm. However, I did want to branch out and really strive for some emotion in the character as many of my prior pieces are so static and seemingly bland. Some movement is always nice to, some appendages may help. Stay tuned!
Viking Age Series
This series of Viking busts was actually my thesis project in college. I was really inspired by the work of sideshow collectibles and decided to try my hand at some of my own busts. These are some images of the project's progression, from sketch phase, maquette, to final version. Id like to show a million pics from the entire process because i enjoy it so much, but ill try and spare everybody!
